  • It is a shame but Stone Peppers used to me my go to place. Their hamburgers were excellent the only problem is you only get them well done now-no matter how many times you beg for a medium and no matter how many times they take it back. I think perhaps they make the burgers earlier in the day and heat in micro? This would be the only reason for the non rare bgrs. My food is cold now - even when they are not busy. It is a shame because I think they have a great menu but I stopped recommending the place because of the cold food....other small things have happened too....like wrong orders, etc. The wait staff is not that good....we had a table of 5 and they put us at a booth and added a chair to the end even though the whole place was dead empty. Does not make sense.....

  • Order: Cheesebgr, chicken sandwiches, and more

  • What a DISAPPOINTMENT! Both times we have visited the food was really pretty bad, Not the worst meal ever, but close for the price. The Spin Dip was very good and the only exception. The burger was devoid of flavor, even with all the creative toppings. Probably overcooked. They need to buy better beef so they can cook to order or learn how to cook to medium. The pizza was fair, but not much better than frozen "brick oven" pizzas. The nachos were like stadium nachos, except with tri colored chips and twice the price. Come on, $9 for chips and cheese?? The waiter, Victor, seemed as though he was rushing us to order and to leave, he never even offered us dessert. He was fairly efficient but very snotty. The atmosphere is cute and fun and you expect better food from a place like this. Parking is a bear, so come in one car. To sum it up, except for the Spin Dip, you can get about the same quality in your grocers freezer for a fraction of the price. So sad, we REALLY need some new (good )restaurants in the SHV area.

  • Order: Spinach Dip, Nachos, Burger, Pizza

  • My friends and I visited StonePepper's Grill two different weekend late afternoons into evenings. We sat at the bar and really enjoyed the whole experience. The atmosphere was nice and the TVs were great for watching the basketball games. All the items we ordered were really good. We loved the Big Bang Shrimp, BBQ wings, and garlic wings. I ordered a salad to try to be healthy and I was overwhelmed by the presentation of their chopped salads. I had the 3 Mushroom salad, and had them substitute edamame beans for the crumbled bleu cheese. It was great. It is now one of our favorite places to go. We are happy they have come to the Mars area.

  • Order: Big Bang Shrimp, BBQ wings, Garlic wings, Three Mushroom salad, Artichoke and Shrimp Pizza, and Mini Burgers.

  • Not worth it. decided to try the Seven Fields location since I pass it on my way home from work every day....

I come in - there's 2 employees that seem to be managers or something talking behind the bar counter - no acknowledgment of my entrance, even though the hostess wasn't back to her post yet.

my take-out order that was to be "ready in 10 minutes" took 40 minutes, with no explanation.

my bacon cheeseburger was somehow missing the bacon...

and my overcooked french fries were incredibly over salted

after arriving home (20 minutes away) and discovering the above problem, I called to inform them of their mistake (not complain, or rant, or whatnot - just let them know they screwed up because how do you fix a mistake if no one tells you you made it?)

my offered compensation? A drive back out there and $1 refund...wow. Definitely not worth my time or the gas. Way to go, Manager Derrick.

  • This was our first visit to the restaurant. I would recommend going here for the pizza but don't order soup. We both ordered the seafood bisque. It came out slightly warm and tasted canned and was very dense and thick. It was more a pepper soup than a seafood soup. There were only small niblets of seafood in it. The pizza was much better though. I ordered the spinach artichoke pizza on a whole wheat crust and my husband ordered the 4 cheese pizza on whole wheat crust. We both enjoyed our pizzas. I would recommend coming here for a few pizzas but I question how many fresh ingredients are actually used in their soup.

  • I visited twice; once for lunch and once for dinner. Atmosphere is cotemporary with an intimate feel. Very nice bar area with six flat screen TVs for viewing your favorite sporting event and they boast a brick oven for their pizza. We started the evening while waiting for a table with a "Flight of Wine", a staircase style sampler of three different wines that typically includes one white and two reds. The wine offering varies. At $8.50, not unusual for what you might pay for one glass, it's a reasonably priced, enjoyable tasting. I have tried to find a bottle of my favorite, Lady Bug Red, but no luck!
Once seated, our server was right there and we ordered an appetizer, Big Bang Shrimp. The 8 medium sized, butterflied shrimp, very lightly breaded, could call it dusted, deep fried and then tossed in their own Thai Chili sauce were the best part of the whole meal for me. Craving salad that night, I ordered the BBQ Chicken Salad and my friend the Three Mushroom Salad. Both of which we enjoyed immensely.
The bartender and our server were extremely friendly, prompt and sociable.
    Can't wait to go back!
