  • I had the pork tenderloin horseshoe with split yellow and white cheese. Best I've ever had. JoDean had the chicken livers, excellent, light and crispy.. Good Job!

  • Hooray for the Fairview, it's back, but better. The five of us had a variety of food, steak, fish, Italian, chicken and it all was very good. Plus, the service was friendly and attentive. Accomodated special requests with the food without a problem. My in-laws have been North-Enders since the North End was new, so we've been to the Fairview as a way of life. Don't think this is just a simple reincarnation of the old Fairview. The great casual neighborhood atmosphere is there just like before, and so is the same fantastic Italian dressing of old. But the menu has a nice variety, the salads larger, and the food even better than we remember. Anchovy bread and corn nuggets were great and different appetizers. Good thick steak, done perfectly and available with any finishing. A hearty, meaty tasting red sauce that will fit many tastes by not going way out on a limb in any one direction. Same with the Italian sausage. Fish and chicken done well with good coatings. A solid performance by a newcomer, that feels like the old friend. Will go back.

  • Order: Blackened NY Strip, Mostaccioli, Catfish, Fried Chicken, Corn Nuggets, Anchovy Bread

  • I've eaten at the Fairview 4 times in the last 2 months. The food has been great and the servers wonderful. Friendly atmosphere, very clean. One of our party was late arriving but the wait staff was very attentive, brought plenty of bread, refilled drinks. The food was wonderful. Really enjoyed the pear gorgonzolla salad dressing.

  • Order: Baked mostacolli, Chicken Jordano, Steak,

  • The appetizer was good. But then we received our main dishes.... The Fetuccini Alfredo was the worst I've ever had, and the lasagna didn't even have riccota cheese, and was was very watery, but with a bunch of parmesan it was edible. But when my spouse told the waiter how bad her food was(she only ate one bite). He told the kitchen, but they still charged us for it, and he told her she should try something she likes next time(and she loves fetuccini alfredo). So if you want to overpay for some of the worst food in Springfield, I would recommend going here. But if you want some real Springfield Tavern food, I would suggest going to Darcy's Pint where the food is good, and they treat there customers like they should be treated.

  • Order: onion rings, chicken fettucinin alfredo, and lasagna.
