  • Lots of food.
The key is to pick a few items from the salad bar and starch bar (mashed potatoes, rice, pasta) and keep some on hand to go with the many meats coming by your table.
Or you can load up on the salad bar and not have the appetite for the many differently flavored meats that the Gauchos come around to your table with.

While waiting for our table for the group, my Mojito was a 'bit' sweeter than I would have liked.
It is a bit pricey if you don't eat much. (this was for dinner after work) We tended to have more conversations than paying attention to the food coming to our table, that the Gauchos had to repeat to us what they were coming to the table with several times.
Afterwards, we were quite content in managing our hunger, but felt that it wasn't the best venue for our particular large group.

  • There used to be a more simple Brazilian Steakhouse in the Springs and we thought that was pretty darn good. The owners of the local Capoeira studio told use about Rodizio, so the first chance we got we headed to Denver to try it out. OH MY GOODNESS!!!

Everything was super yummy...especially the Bolo Brigadero (I think that's how it's spelled). I also love the appetizers. There are so many choices on the salad bar and from the gauchos. Even though it doesn't sound very good, I tried the chicken heart with lime and I was quite impressed...it was actually tasty, not my favorite mind you yet still good. Getting hungry just thinking about all there wonderful food.

The service has always been wonderful and the staff is warm and friendly...what we have come to expect from Brazilians. I always like restaurants where your server refills your drink without asking or waiting until you're sucking up the very last drop hidden under your ice.

There's only 3 things "bad" about this place. The first is that unfortunately it is pricey so it wouldn't be realistic to have this as your gang's hangout...it's more of a special occasion place or a "I deserve a treat" kind of place. The second is that there is TOO MUCH FOOD. We have been twice and STILL have not tried all of the grilled items. Everything is so good, but you have to literally stop trying everything just so you could have room for the AWESOME CAKE!!! And the last "bad" thing is that we live in the Springs...but maybe that's a good thing in the long run because if we lived closer it would be easier to "puppy dog eye" my husband into taking me there more often and we'd be broke!!! :)

  • Order: Technically drinks and dessert....everything else is buffet-style or brought to you

  • I enjoy having occasional parties at Rodizio, birthday dinners, company parties, family gatherings.... They can arrange big tables for the number of your party. The staff is always very talkative and fun, if requestated they would serve you the type of meet you like rather than bringing around every kind they have. Must experience it at least once.

  • Rodizio is one of my favorite restaurants. It's definitely a treat, though, since it usually costs at least $30 per person for dinner. The meats that they bring around are delicious. You have a green or red light indicator at your table to say whether you want them to keep bringing the meat. I love the salad bar and the little appetizers they bring as well. It's really an experience!

  • Order: The meats are served to each table and there's also a big salad bar with other hot foods also

  • The Rodizio grill is my favorite restaurant for so many reasons. Being an architecture buff, the fact that it's located in the historic Lodo district is a real plus. It just happens to be directly located next to the historic Union Station (still in use today) that has a magnificent cathedral ceiling. Rodizio itself is in the historic Denver Ice House; you can still see enough remaining history to get a good idea of what went on there in the building over a century ago. The whole location creates all the drama, elegance & ambience you'll ever need for a terrific, anything-but-boring night out; I'm constantly recommending Rodizio to friends (& even strangers) as a great first date/birthday/anniversary or to impress out-of-town guests, restaurant. Rodizio means "rotation" in Portuguese. Rodizio's are a type of Brazilian steak house. If you go to the Rodizio grill, DON'T SKIMP. It's completely worth getting the full, complete rodizio, which means not only do you get everything in their wonderful & unique, elegantly stocked buffet, you also get samplings of all of the menu''s meats that are on rotation. Appitizers are always free, by the way, no matter which you order. The meats are all served on long roasting swords, carved off at table side, served usually by Latin hotties, otherwise known as "Gauchos", in traditional Brazilian garb. If you are doing a dinner for 2 w/all the works (drinks, dinner, desert) plan on bringing no less than $100. For about $100, it'll cover full dinner, a round of drinks, desert & parking. However, if you want to shave a few bucks off parking, go on a Sunday, parking down town is free that day. And to save even more money, go before 4pm, Monday-Friday for lunch. However, the downside to lunch is not everything that is offered at dinner is available, though, it's still a wonderful, fulfilling meal & a fun experience, none the less. Don't let the price scare you, a night out at Rodizio is worth every penny. You are getting A LOT more than just food & fun. A meal at the Rodizio Grill is more than just dining out- it's fun, elegent, hip, dining for all ages (& even great for families), educational, almost like a mini vacation & over all, really exceptional. Enjoy!
