Murphy's On The Water

Review: Our party was only two people and the party of four sitting behind us got their food before us! We had already been waiting close to an hour for our food! The manager finally came out to tell us there was a mix up in the kitchen and that they were out of 1.5lbs lobster and wanted to know if a 1lbs was okay! After waiting an hour for someone to let us know what was going on we left without dinner!

Review: This restaurant made my trip to Halifax!!! Not only was the location incredible, but the service and quality was equally impressive!!! The next time I visit Halifax, I am definitely stopping in to see Christine, (the owner who also is on the floor helping out)!!! The scenery is breathtaking and the food was outstanding...couldn't ask for ANYTHING better! I only wish I had another couple days in the city, because this place also offers tours of the city and owns THEODORE TUGBOAT! Yes, they do tours on that boat...OUTSTANDING!!!

Review: This is a tourist place, and I was a bit apprehensive about eating there, especially when I saw the large tour group inside. But we were quickly seated at a great table on the patio, our server was friendly and efficient, everything came in good time and the fish and chips were delicious. Not five star dining, but it hit the spot!

Review: One of the best locations in the City. The wharf, the sea, the view, all excellent. It unfortunately stops there. I waited to be seated, even thought ere were many empty tables. I then waited long enough for me to get up and ask a server to come over. The fish and chips were tasty but for $12.99 (add a beer, taxes and tip and it was over $25)were as sparse on my plate as the service at my table. I had to call a server over to get my bill and then again to pay. No "thank you, come again" as I was leaving.
It is a tourist place and hence, I guess, they do not have to consider anyone that would become a repeat customer. Such a shame.

Review: Expensive menu choices and poor quality. Uses dead/broken shell mussels.
